BeONE Mobile Sdn Bhd ("BeONE", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) ("PDPA") of Malaysia and the Communications and Multimedia (Content) Code.

  • Identity Information: Full name, NRIC number (MyKad/MyTentera/MyPR/MyKAS), passport number (for non-Malaysians), date of birth, nationality, gender, photograph.
  • Contact Information: Mobile number, email address, residential address.
  • Financial Information: Bank account details (for Partner commission payments and E-Wallet cash-outs).
  • Device Information: IMEI, device model, operating system, push notification tokens.
  • Service Usage Data: Call records, data usage, plan subscriptions, reload history, activation records.
  • Biometric Data: Facial recognition data and selfie images collected during KYC verification.
  • Location Data: Approximate location based on network cell tower information (where required for service delivery).
  • Business Information (Partners only): SSM registration details, business name, company address, referral code, network hierarchy data.

2. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION

2.1 We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • (a) Subscriber registration and identity verification as required by MCMC prepaid registration regulations;
  • (b) Provision and management of prepaid mobile telecommunications services;
  • (c) Processing of payments, reloads, plan subscriptions, and E-Wallet transactions;
  • (d) Commission calculation and payout processing for registered Partners;
  • (e) Customer support and complaint resolution;
  • (f) Fraud detection, prevention, and risk management;
  • (g) Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations including MCMC directives, anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, and tax obligations;
  • (h) Service improvement, analytics, and network optimisation;
  • (i) Communication of service updates, announcements, and promotional offers (with your consent).

3. CONSENT

3.1 By registering for BeONE services, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

3.2 For sensitive personal data (including biometric data collected during KYC), we obtain your explicit consent at the point of collection.

3.3 You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. However, withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain Services to you.

4. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

4.1 We may disclose your personal data to the following categories of third parties:

  • (a) Network Providers: Our host network operator for service provisioning and activation;
  • (b) Payment Processors: FPX, payment gateway providers for reload and financial transactions;
  • (c) KYC Verification Partners: Third-party identity verification service providers;
  • (d) Regulatory Authorities: MCMC, Royal Malaysia Police, Bank Negara Malaysia, and other government agencies as required by law;
  • (e) Professional Advisors: Auditors, legal counsel, and consultants engaged by BeONE;
  • (f) Partners/Agents: Limited information necessary for activation processing and customer servicing within the BeONE partner network.

4.2 We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. DATA SECURITY

5.1 We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5.2 These measures include encryption of sensitive data, access controls, regular security assessments, and staff training on data protection.

5.3 In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in accordance with the PDPA requirements.

6. DATA RETENTION

6.1 We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

6.2 Subscriber registration records are retained for a minimum period as stipulated by MCMC directives, even after account termination.

6.3 Financial and transaction records are retained in accordance with tax and regulatory requirements.

7.1 Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • (a) Access: Request access to your personal data held by us;
  • (b) Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • (c) Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data;
  • (d) Data Portability: Request transfer of your personal data to another service provider (where technically feasible);
  • (e) Complaint: Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner if you believe your rights have been violated.
