Fair Usage Policy (FUP)
BeONE Mobile Sdn Bhd
Effective Date: 1 September 2026
Last Updated: 1 September 2026
This Fair Usage Policy ensures equitable access to BeONE Prepaid network resources for all Subscribers.
1. Introduction
By registering for, accessing, or using the services provided by Be One Mobile Sdn Bhd (“BeONE Mobile”, “we”, “us” or “our”), you agree to be bound by this Fair Usage Policy (“Policy”), together with our general Terms and Conditions.
2. Purpose
Our services run on a shared network, which means every customer's usage can affect the experience of other users. This Policy exists to keep things fair — so that the vast majority of our customers continue to enjoy a good, reliable experience, and are not negatively affected by excessive or abusive usage from a small minority.
We continuously monitor network performance and may take reasonable steps to manage the usage of customers identified as heavy or abnormal users, in line with this Policy.
3. What Counts as Excessive or Unfair Usage
Our plans are designed for normal, everyday personal or business use — such as calls, SMS, and data usage in the ordinary course of daily activities. Usage may be considered excessive or unfair where it goes clearly beyond this, including (but not limited to):
- Reselling, renting out, or commercially exploiting services intended for individual use;
- Call, SMS, or data volumes that are significantly and consistently higher than average usage patterns across our customer base;
- Usage driven by automated tools, bots, spam, malware, viruses, or similar activity on a device, whether or not this is known to the customer;
- Any activity that causes network congestion or materially degrades service quality for other users.
4. How We Manage Excessive Usage
Where a customer's usage is found to be excessive or in breach of this Policy, BeONE Mobile reserves the right, at its discretion and without prior notice, to take reasonable measures which may include one or more of the following:
- Managing or reducing the priority of data speeds after a customer's data usage exceeds the volume advertised or provided under their plan;
- Applying prevailing standard rates to usage (voice, SMS, or data) that goes beyond what is reasonable under the plan subscribed;
- Suspending, limiting, or restricting a service where usage indicates abuse, fraud, or illegal activity.
The specific usage thresholds, allowances, and speeds applicable to each plan are as advertised or communicated by BeONE Mobile from time to time, and may be reviewed, adjusted, or updated without prior notice. Any such management of speed or usage will not prevent a customer from continuing to use the service, though performance may be aected.
5. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for taking reasonable precautions to keep their devices free of viruses, malware, and other software that may cause unintended excessive usage. BeONE or a court of law.
6. Changes to This Policy
BeONE Mobile reserves the right to review, vary, or update this Policy from time to time, with or without prior notice, to reflect changes in our services, network conditions, or applicable regulations. The updated Policy will apply from the date it is published, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
7. Relationship to Other Terms
This Policy supplements and forms part of the general Terms and Conditions governing BeONE Mobile's services. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions as published by BeONE Mobile shall prevail.
